Celebrating 100 Years of Gilwell Reunion

Earlier this month, the Travel Places team had the pleasure of attending Gilwell Reunion 2026, and what a fantastic weekend it was!

As the event celebrated its 100th anniversary, there was a real buzz around Gilwell Park. The site was packed with Scout volunteers, leaders and supporters from across the UK, all coming together to celebrate Scouting, share experiences and look ahead to future adventures.

For us, it was a brilliant opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and finally put faces to names we've spoken to over email and phone over the years. One of the highlights of the weekend was catching up with Scout leaders we've worked with previously, while also meeting lots of new groups who are beginning to plan their next adventure.

The atmosphere throughout the weekend was incredibly positive, and our stand was very busy! We had some great conversations about international camps, Explorer Belts, and the upcoming 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland, and we're excited to be helping more groups turn their ideas into reality.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us. Whether you were sharing stories from past trips, discussing future plans or simply saying hello, it was great to meet you.

After such a memorable weekend, we're heading back to the office feeling inspired and looking forward to supporting even more Scout groups with their adventures in the years ahead.
